Medicine Injections

B12, Depo-Provera, benzathine penicillin, biologics, testosterone, long-acting antipsychotics. Ontario funds none of them, so this is a private service — and the most reliable recurring visit in the store.

What it does

In the pharmacist’s words.

  • Two legal lanes, modelled explicitly. Schedule 1 of O. Reg. 256/24 is the pharmacist’s own authority. Testosterone and every long-acting injectable antipsychotic are NOT on Schedule 1 — they need a direct order or a medical directive on file, and AgileRx blocks administration until the instrument is captured.

  • A dosing-window engine, not a reminder. Depo-Provera has a 10-to-13-week reinjection window and a hard pregnancy rule-out past week 13. Invega Sustenna is monthly, plus or minus seven days. Denosumab resets the clock.

  • The post-injection observation timer gates filing — the record cannot be completed until the observation period has actually elapsed.

  • The inverse role gate: technicians are hard-blocked here. They may inject vaccines; they have no authority for drug injections.

  • This produces a private charge and a receipt, never an HNS claim. Fees stay configurable in case Ontario ever funds one.

The edge

Ontario pays nothing for this, which is exactly why the workflow has to be airtight: the authority instrument, the window, and the observation period are the whole liability.

  2. BC PharmaCare, drug administration fee.

Medicine Injections does not ship alone — it runs on the same patient record as the other six modules, which is what lets AgileRx catch the things a single-service tool never sees. Book thirty minutes and we will walk the whole day, not the demo.
